Zena Bibler (Co-Founder) is an independent dance artist. Her performance work has been presented at Movement Research, NADA Hudson, the Museum Perron Oost, Gibney Dance Center, Dixon Place, and Yale University, and her films have been shown domestically and internationally at Dance Films Association, Dances Made to Order, La MaMa Galeria, WestFestDance Festival, Outlet Dance Festvial, São Carlos Videodance Festival, Village Cinemas East, FIVU (Uruguay) and Moviehouse Brooklyn. As a performing artist, she has danced in parks, windows, convents, gutters, steamships, stages, and city streets with Anne Zuerner, Willi Dorner, Steve Paxton, Mariangela Lopez/Accidental Movement, Susana Cook, Davide Balula, Alexx Shilling and The Movement Party. She holds an MA in Performance Studies from New York University with a focus on dance and site-specific composition, and a BA in History from Yale University.

Katie Schetlick (Co-Founder) is a dance artist, choreographer, researcher and current Lecturer in Dance at the University of Virginia. Her choreographic work focuses on developing deeper kinesthetic conversations between seen bodies, seeing bodies and the environment and has been presented at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, Dixon Place, Movement Research, NADA Hudson, Fleet Moves Dance Festival, the Museum Perron Oost, the International Dance Theatres Festival, Washington & Lee University, and the University of Virginia. Her writings on dance and human rights have been published in the Movement Research Performance Journal, Critical Correspondence and the activist journal, Building Alliances for Social Engagement. As a performing artist Katie has danced internationally with Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre and freelanced with a number of notable New York choreographers. She holds a MA in Performance Studies from New York University with a focus on dance and the politics of space and BFA in Dance with a minor in Anthropology from the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University program.

Kristin Clotfelter is a dancer, artist and choreographer residing in Brooklyn, NY. She is a company member of Susan Marshall & Company, Punchdrunk’s off-Broadway show, Sleep No More and the Movement Party.  Kristin has performed with Staatstheater Kassel Tanztheater in Germany, the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Johannes Wieland, Miro Dance Theatre, Sara Shelton Mann and Eighth Blackbird. She has served as a choreographic assistant to Susan Marshall and assistant director to Mark DeChiazza. She was an artist in residence at Omi International Arts Center in 2012 and has taught master classes at Columbia College Chicago, The National Museum of Dance, Princeton University, American University and the University of Virgina. Her work often attempts to relic the remnants of a dancing experience and has been performed in Brooklyn and Ghent, NY as well as the Washington D.C. Metro area, Charlottesville, VA and Wellfleet, MA at Fleet Moves Dance Festival. She holds a BFA with honors in dance and a minor in Visual Arts from the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University program.

Hannah Krafcik studied English and American literature and Dance at the University of South Florida. She went on to receive her Master of Arts in Performance Studies from New York University, where she focused her research on dance theory and photography. She has worked with numerous organizations specializing in communications, project management, fundraising, and community-based nonprofit work. Her curiosities lie with the potency of dance as a catalyst for community building. She currently works at the Manny Cantor Center.

Mikey Rioux is a performance and visual artist based in Chicago and Seattle. The long list of companies Mikey has performed with includes River North Chicago, Luna Negra Dance Theater, Mordine & Co., Lucky Plush Productions, Same Planet Different World, Scott/Powell Performance, Lingo Dance, Nandanse, and Salt Horse. In 2001 Mikey formed Impetus Dance Theater and served as Artistic Director until 2005 when he picked up and moved to Seattle. While in Seattle Mikey received his BFA in printmaking and video from Cornish College of the Arts, and formed The Sho. The Sho is a vehicle for Mikey’s performance and dance film work. The Sho has been presented by PICA’s TBA Festival, Ten Tiny Dances Seattle, and the Northwest Film Forum. Mikey’s choreography has been performed by Mordine & Co., Instruments of Movement, Lehua Dance Theater, Cornish Dance Theater, Chicago Dance Crash, and Giordano’s Jazz Dance. Mikey has been a faculty member at Lou Conte Dance Studio, Velocity Dance Center, and the Spectrum Dance Theater School. Currently Mikey dances with Kate Corby & Dancers, and teaches at Visceral Dance Center. Mikey also teaches in outreach programs in the Chicago Public School system through CAPE and Luna Negra Dance Theatre. His concern is to be full of joy and discovery.

Lailye Weidman is a dance maker/performer/writer. She currently teaches modern dance and contact improvisation at the University of Illinois, where she is an MFA candidate and teaching fellow. Her recent collaborative projects include co-producing Place [Maker] Space, an interdisciplinary convergence for artists who work with notions of place; performing and teaching with The Movement Party at Fleet Moves Festival in Wellfleet, MA, and a collaborative trio made with Emily Drury and the New England weather.

Anne Zuerner is a dancer, choreographer and teaching artist from Rhode Island, currently living in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She studied dance at Newport Academy of Ballet, Andover, Barnard College and the University of Michigan. She has been presenting her work in New York City since 2002, with a two-year hiatus in Boston (2003-2005). Her work has been presented by venues such as Movement Research at the Judson Church, RAW Material at Dance New Amsterdam, Triskelion Arts, and Food for Thought at Danspace Project. She has self-produced at venues such as Center for Performance Research and the Bushwick Starr. Yearly, she gathers various dance artists to create site-specific work for the roof of her building, 345 Eldert St. Zuerner’s work has received funding from the Brooklyn Arts Council and a fellowship from Summer Stages Dance. Currently Anne is a creating new piece commissioned by Danspace Project in New York City. Teaching is a huge part of her life and she shares her thoughts, ideas and experience with students ages 2-18 as a teaching artist for Lincoln Center Institute, the New Victory Theater and Cynthia King Dance Studio.
